If you're wanting to throw the biggest and best Barney party for your son or daughters birthday, you are going to need to know the characters.

Barney Invitations
If a Barney theme party is in your future, so are barney invitations. There are pre-made invitations in the party shops or online, but if you’re feeling creative, and not to short on time maybe making your own Barney party invitations is for you.
To start this project you will need:
- a Barney and Friends coloring book,
- a copier or scanner or digital camera,
- card stock
- and a pack of crayons…
Pick a page and color it, have fun… or have the kids color the picture for you, it doesn’t have to be perfect, after all the party is more than likely for you child, so let them be creative.
Once you have the picture colored either scan the picture into your computer, take a photo of the picture with a digital camera that you can later download onto your computer, (or copy the picture shrinking the size so it fits on one half of a 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of paper and will still give you room to write out your invitation) With your picture in the computer you can change the size of the photo with a program like Microsoft’s picture manager. When you have your picture re-sized to fit on your invitation make sure you save it!
In a word, PowerPoint or a similar program (you can do this all by hand too!) Arrange your layout, the picture to the Right or left side (or smack dab in the center it’s up to you and your little one) Then using a fun font in a larger size write out the WHO, WHAT, WHERE AND WHEN for your party. Once you have it done (so it fits on half a sheet of paper, select all and paste an exact duplicate on the bottom half of your page (leave room to make your cut). Print out on card stock (heavy weight paper suitable for mailing).
You may also create a back to your page and include your return address and a mail to address on each.
Once you have your invitations printed, cut them in half. This size is easily mailable, or great just for handing out at school, daycare etc.
You have just created a one of a kind, barney party invitation featuring Barney or your favorite Barney friend. Your barney invitations are done, and you get to take all the credit! Happy partying and don’t forget to check our party store for the best barney party supplies.
