Keep your child safe and warm at home this Halloween. Throw a Barney Halloween Party. Young and old alike love costume parties, so why not go with a theme.
As with a barney birthday party, planning a Halloween party can be relatively stress free, if you come up with a plan and stick to it.
Because it is a holiday, your Halloween party invitations should go out early. No later than the 2nd week of October to give everyone time to plan, make sure you ask for an RSVP and it is also nice to check with parents for any food allergies.
Plan your Halloween feast, you don’t have to turn this into anything extravagant, simple everyday foods can become fantastic and weird Halloween delights with a few twists, a good imagination, a cleaver name and a bit of food coloring. Chicken nuggets and ketchup can become Dino bites and Green Dino blood – Dino shaped chicken is readily available, pair this with green ketchup easy right. How about pigs in a blanket becoming Dinosaur Eggs – simply cut the hotdogs into shorter lengths, form the biscuit dough around them (egg shaped) and you’re done. The ideas are limited only by your imagination.
The cake is still going to be your main attraction, but your Barney theme will carry you through, decorate it as you would for a Birthday party, you can add balloon picks in orange and black, or Bats or Spiders to the cake to make it a little spooky. Or decorate it with Halloween colors in your icing.
Costumes, in your invitations encourage every one to come dressed as their favorite Barney and Friends character. Costumes come in sizes from baby to adult, so everyone can get in on the act.
Games and entertainment, Make up your own Pin the Tail on the Dinosaur game. Use plastic filled eggs (the kind you get at Easter) to have a Dino Egg Hunt. (you can even put your kiddy pool to use, add some sand some of the Dino Eggs, and maybe even some fake bones and you’ve got and archeologist dig site! Convert your favorite spooky Halloween story to a Barney Halloween story, substitute Barney’s name or his friends names in your story. Videos or video games will also keep the little ones amused.
Clean up will be a breeze if you use, Barney party plates, cups and plastic flat wear. All can be thrown away without adding to your time in the kitchen. A plastic or paper table drape will keep the table clean and is also disposable.
